The book, Feminist Ryan Gosling may not be written by the man himself but its Ryan and we ALL know he supports all women in our endeavours. I received this from my father for Christmas and was not disappointed. Who knew a twelve dollar president would be BY FAR my favourite. The reaction was greater than any clothes or jewellery I received. You know its a real obsession when.... though I may not understand every theory there are some witty pictures like above. My personal favourite Ryan refers that just maybe Hermione was the TRUE hero of Harry Potter. I'm not arguing. Also the fact that his face is on every page is not a let down.

Operation Gosling - Success!

Hello lovelies!

Hope all has been well during this dreary, rainy November. I've been on antibiotics like its my day job ,not much social activity for me. I've had to live vicariously through Bridget Jones and Colin Firth to get me through the rough times. 

As you know, cultivating your inner gosling can be a lot of talk. Wouldn't it just be easier if a cute boy just walked over to you? I just like to work on looking fabulous, My newest theory though is that those possible "Goslings" out there are just as intimidated as you. Its not like there are signs of who's in a relationship and who's not, or is that girl beside you a friend.. or more? My darling roommate and I were out and about last night (studying, I'd rather not) for our good friend's birthday. It seemed to be an extremely attractive night at the bar for the boys, and I'm not just saying that. I have high standards. Even though it seemed like a billion boys (yes, that many) were looking at us, none were coming up. This is when I found my gumption - Please see The Holiday.

Season Opener

Did I stop blogging? I just though of it as a build up of anticipation. Let us think of it as a hiatus break in television terms that makes that Grey's Anatomy premiere that much sweeter.

Side note - Could Dr. Avery could be my one love...? Those baby blues are too much for me sometimes.

For this blog I even searched 8tracks with the term " Ryan Gosling". Shocking eh? to set the tone for this blog. He's so talented. You all know how I feel about a casual morning courtyard serenade.

I can't say I haven't been thinking of Ryan through this hiatus. I plan a meet cute most days for when I meet MY gosling. For those of you that don't know what a meet cute is, I'll update you. Also feel free to watch the Holiday that spread this term like wild fire or spread it to me! A meet cute is when two people meet in a quirky cute way - duh?! My personal favourite was when I was in high school I used  to imagine meet cute with my dog, Diesel. I used to walk my dog quite frequently as my parents are slave drivers. In this time my dream was to run into a cute dog walking boy and well fall in love perhaps? A standard situation I suppose. It did not necessarily have to involved getting wrapped up in the dog's leashes, though how adorable would that be?! It could have been active participation on his part to see me all the time in my seasonal pink jackets and just have to meet me! Is that called stalking? I'm down. Back to my point, I always thinking of my gosling. Right now my meet cute is a meeting at night that leads us to a romantic setting of getting drunk food together. Not that romantic but I'm just trying to be a realistic modern girl. How times have changed! I will never give up on my dog walking meet cute though.

Recently I brought out my inner gosling out for pre Halloween celebrations. I dressed up as Fifty Shades of Grey, which as you all know, I openly believe Christian Grey was modelled after the one and only Ryan.  I'm so sassy that I just created a sash of paint chips.. creating 50 shades of Grey though it was probably more like 18 but don't hold it against me. A Mr. Grey wasn't found quite yet. Can we address how creepy it is when people are wearing masks at the bar. Thank you. 

Until than I have found a substitute to soothe my lonely, cold nights.... okay it doesn't actually exist but someone get on it. I'm sure it would be the best seller for all single ladies around Christmas time!

Colour me Ryan.

You must know you've hit an all time fame high when a colouring book of you is being published. But can we really expect anything less from Ryan?Why should kids be colouring Barbie when they could help shade in Ryan's six pack? Either way were letting the future generations have unrealistic expectations for how they look so why not about their future prince charming, or not so charming. 

It really shows that anything is possible if you just believe aka I better have my own colouring book soon. That would make Ryan and I soul mates. Jealous?

Cultivating our Inner Grey

Hello fans, followers and friends,

Sorry for the lack of bloggin' this month. I was traveling France in search of Ryan for the past two weeks. Unfortunately no such luck but the fact that I discovered I find the French men are too skinny for my liking but was able to become a bronzed beach babe in my humble opinion.  Which as I hope you all know by now, nothing makes anyone look ten times better than a great tan.

Throughout my travels or shall I say in the first three days...  I successfully finished the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy and can truthfully say I am currently going through Christian Grey withdrawal. This sexy smile, romantic notions and success. I'm weak at the knees even thinking about him. Though he definitely had his flaws ( which is probably an understatement). Christian Grey did have the looks, charm, drive, well traveled, non smoker and sex appeal and sooo much more. The more I think about his features the more he sounds like my perfect man... minus some  of his kinky f*****y and larger than life issues but who cares?! After having these realizations, I contemplated should I be cultivating my inner Christian Grey instead!!?

This would never happen but its definitely a valid thought. Maybe for this week will name him our Gosling of the Week. For being everything our Gosling is minus the baggage. The fact that Ryan Gosling has been offered to play the role of Christian Grey in the feature film only proves this point and let us pray that he accepts. How it is possible they can make this trilogy into movies or soft core porn I'm sure many woman, as well as myself will be excited to see. Who know's maybe I will soon be discovered for all that I am and I will play Anastasia and Ryan and I will follow madly in love. Who is Eva Mendes away?! pshhhhhh

Fellow lovers of Ryan let us pray that he will accept this role of Christain Greyand make our dreams a reality!

50 Shades of Gosling.

So you all have probably heard of 50 Shades of Grey, the erotic romance trilogy that has climbed to the top of the New York Time's bestseller list. Well, at first I didn't know it was erotic romance, because when is that stuff EVER on the New York Time's best seller list!? and I saw some ads in people magazine... Naturally I asked my father to purchase the trilogy for me thinking it was your usual chick lit and was sadly mistaken. Since I had these books just here for the taking and after hearing rave reviews and other not so rave reviews I figured I might as well check it out for myself. 

I'm close to being done the first novel of the trilogy and I'm still unsure what to think of it. There is some really, well kind of horrifying stuff. There are two things that are keeping me reading though. 1. To finish at least the first book to see what the hype is about and 2.  because imagine Christian Grey as Ryan Gosling and it is my sole wish to Hollywood that if this series is turned into a movie that this role must be played by him. Thoughts? Could there ever be a creature more ravishing than Ryan, even in a fictional world?!

On a side note this is probably the most ingenious sign I've ever seen and if I'm ever that close to Ryan I will hold a sign as hysterical and accurate as this. Though with one look between Ryan and I, my sign will be as quickly thrown to the side as Eva Mendes....

Today I received life changing news on my Twitter feed. Miley Cyrus is officially engaged to Liam Hemsworth!!!

Girls everywhere can no longer fantasize that they will marry or well f**k Liam. Am I right or am I right?! This is not a situation when one is ecstatic for the people that they have never met saying what a cute couple they are and how cute there babies will be ( in this case extremely attractive). For those of you who don't know, which should be no one! Liam Hemsworth is a GOD (or close). He's basically almost as perfect as our Gosling. He's gorgeous, fit, talented and has an accent. Does any girl need more than this?! NO. Therefore you an all understand the frustration, which I'm assuming most of you are also going through that we will never be the one's to marry him. Please cue the sad dramatic music and pass me the cookie dough.

Can we also address that he knows how to buy good jewellery?! This is all too much.

Not only is Miley sealing the deal but so are too many people around me for my liking. As calculated by one of my besties if we want to get married before were thirty and want to date for at least two years before getting engaged well we need boyfriends NOW. Should we really be 19, 20 years old worrying about when were going to get our diamond! Can't everything just fall into place? Are we supposed to have accounts online to date already? With the fact that 75% of people that get married under 25 get divorced. What's the rush?

Where is this man telling me "I like you just the way you are".... preferably in a british accent? 

Right now all I can hope for is that by the time I'm famous, Liley will have split and I can catch Liam for another walk down the aisle. Until than...

The fact that more men haven't caught on to Ryan's "swaggy"(oh yes, I just went there...) is ahhhmazing. Guys, pull it together would ya? It would be THAT much easier if Ryan's were a dime and a dozen, but than again I guess it would take away from my future husband's swag.  A girl can dream can't I? well you know this form reading my blog ;)

My Exception - Ryan's latest.

I guess this is a good time for Ryan to use his natural voice? Am I right, it does sound like he has a  Boston accent right? Are we really sure he's Canadian....

 Ryan will be back to theatres near you in The Gangster Squad, which will be released in September just to help us get our Gosling fix as we head back to school.

Our man is back with one of my ultimate favourites Emma Stone. Like if Emma and I ever met we would be friends we would be drinking chardonnay like classy betches and talking how we wish we were more like Tina Fey or Cher Horowitz (Clueless), dining at Nobu ( great sushi, Fodor's lies though! I never saw any celebrities!!!). I would also giver her the advice she needs such as telling her to die her hair back to red immediately after filming The Ahhmazing Spiderman because it just looks so much better, no matter what Andrew Garfield would say. What do boys know anyways?! Back to the point... were they not just adorable in their last summer flick, Crazy Stupid Love? They will probably be the hottest couple to fight crime since Bradgelina. 

I'm not going to lie as you probably well know this isn't my type of film, considering 99.9% of the movies I watch are romantic comedies. Ryan's my exception... and if him and Emma Stone actually fall in love well that would be even better!

Call Me Maybe?

Some people have really taken Carly Jepsen's song lyrics to heart....

My darling roommate shared this with me a couple days ago.I think this is quite a novel idea. A friend of mine even gave "business cards" similar to this at a bar for her friends birthday to good looking guys. Though Carly's idea is rather simple maybe its something to think about.  Friends of mine always seem to worry about asking guys out. Though its nice to be courted of course, it doesn't always happen. So should we start being more cavalier with our call me maybes? Do we need to take more chances? For all we know that same guy is just as nervous as you! Who knows.. maybe even Ryan has his off days? 

In an age were woman are trying to move forward to embrace their inner independent career woman, it seems were still very backwards in the way we think about dating. If we aspire to live in a time where men and woman will be paid the same, treated the same, and not constantly asked to make sandwiches can we afford to have this way of thinking? Will it hold you, me or society back? Maybe we just need to channel our inner Beyonce ( #1 independent career woman) and go for it. If we have nothing to lose but everything to gain why don't we just DO IT.

Millionaire Matchmaker?

Hello my Darlings!

Though my scope for my very own Ryan Gosling has not quiet yet happened.. it turns out I may have the ability to make it happen for other people.

The other night was my last night in London for this school year. As any party going adolescent, friends and I adventured out to the bars. At one of our favourite places they have a band on Thursday night. We spent most of our night dancing in front of the band. My one friend was ogling the hot bass player the whole night. I don't know what came over me but in between sets I stepped onto stage and said

"My friend in the front, blond, leggy one over there. She likes you. Talk to her after the show or she'll be here next week." because who needs to study for finals anyways?...

So the reason I haven't been posting is I haven't been even close to finding my gosling.. so disappointing! 

I will say I have been being on my best game in the everyday to make sure I am as attractive as possible 24/7. Maybe we blame it on the fact that I hate Canadian winters, and my pasty skin isn't attractive to.. well anyone. Really all I want is to find someone to serenade me with One Direction's what makes you beautiful. Maybe I should become a groupie? the next Penny Lane perhaps...?

Sorry for the long delay of blog posts. Unfortunately my education doesn't realize that there are some things more important.. than well, my education.

To update you with my pursuit of Ryan Gosling.. well it could be going better. Partially because well I'm lazy and why can't some pursue me?! and two, where do you meet men with souls ( maybe that's a tad dramatic) but.. not at bars I tell you.
I actually just learnt that apparently you can meet them if you play sports so... even though I'm not super athletic I'd say I'm going to join an intramural flag football team next year though hopefully I'll meet my Ryan Gosling sooner than that.

As I have been gone for so long I have adapted and learned to lurveeeee Ryan's band... like actually.
So soothing, especially when in study mode... or when blogging about your inner Gosling.

This reminds me that one of the key things to keep in mind when cultivating your inner Gosling is looking the part! I made this mistake last week when making photocopying in the library and I discovered there are cute boys in my program! We briefly bonded over how to photocopy, but if I looked better I would have had the confidence to more aggressively pursue this aka get his name.

Also since this involves a scene from drive can we address how I still found Ryan sexy ( and you probably did too) after he had murdered several people and continued to walk around with blood on his jacket. Desensitization of the media? or is their really nothing better than Mr. Gosling.

I finally watched Drive with our man Ryan and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The film is about a driver (Gosling obviously) and how he drives for people that are committing illegal crimes. Pretty straight forward right? Also probably had the smallest script ever. Ryan played a better version of Ryan Atwood, always bruiting, barely smiles and is able to convey everything with just a look. This movie was remarkably well done but lets focus more on the star himself. 

We must acknowledge how talented Ryan is first of all with his wide range of characters. This kind of work requires Drive( I'm so punny).. wait wasn't that one of my non negotiable? yes, your right. He was sensitive, kind and bruiting. Your typical bad boy, who doesn't want one of those? 

I will for warn you it is rather gory, I will admit I had to fast forward through some parts but if your into intense killings scene and Ryan, well this is the film for you. 

I must commend Ryan's ability to pull off a jean on jean outfit as well. I don't think I've ever seen a male look so.. beautiful and bad ass. Secondly, ugh it's Ryan.

Bottom Line. Ryan you can drive my car any day.

Our man totally should have been nominated for this. I like Moneyball as much as the next person but did really Jonah Hill got nominated and not Ryan?.. just saying. 

Sorry, its not negotiable...

My room mates read about this in a Cosmo magazine or something of that sort and its seemed to dominate many dinner conversations. The question is what are your 5 non negotiable. Here are mine

1. Smoking

I might be able to deal with social smoking but smoking in general is not an attractive habit to me. Not only their breath but the smoke sticks to everything like the inside of your car, your house. No thanks. 

2. Must have a wide palette for cuisine 

Imagine dating someone that was a picky eater. We could never go for dim sum or sushi or Thai?! It just would not work. 

3. Must be somewhat talkative 

Now yes as you can probably assume form my blog I'm rather chatty but this does not mean that I want to do all the talking. I need dialogue!

4. Drive

I need someone that has passion, has a goal and is going to make it happen. Otherwise, where are we going?...

5.  I'm kind of undecided on this one for the present moment.. humour, ability to serenade, me a good dresser. As I shuffle through the many different versions of Ryan I will just see.

Right now I'd say it would be a combination of Jacob's (Crazy Stupid Love) confidence, wealth, good style and charm with Noah's (The Notebook) sensitivity, his romantic side and  drive ( he built her a house!) So if there is a man out there like this.. call me. 

I suggest you try to figure out yours because once you find out what you don't want aren't we that much closer to finding a guy we like?.. lets hope.
